Prompt: Kyo/Tohru fluff

Summary: Tohru had wondered if Kyo would change once he wasn’t “the cat” anymore.

Kyo didn’t change all that much after the curse was lifted from the Sohmas. His hair still bristled wildly when he was angry. His temper still flared every now and again, especially when he felt like he was being pressured, and people would swear that he was growling no matter how vehemently he denied it.

He was still able to leap from the third floor of the school and land on his feet unharmed. It was because he’d been trained in martial arts, he claimed, but there were those who did not believe him.

Cats were often seen following him around on the street. They didn’t show up in abundance like they had in the past—one or two at most. He’d given up trying to escape them long ago, and sometimes he even stopped to play with them.

And, of course Tohru thought, smiling down at Kyo’s head resting on her knee, he still loves taking naps while soaking up the sunlight. He leaned into her hand while she stroked his head, a happy purring sound resonating from his throat. She couldn’t help but giggle at how adorable he was.

Kyo cracked an eye open and peered up at her, looking for all the world like a cat that had just been disturbed from its nap. ”What’s up?”

“Just thinking that I’m glad you’re still you,” she told him, mussing about with his hair.

“Of course I am,” he said lazily, nuzzling his head against her instinctivly as his eye closed shut again. ”Who else would I be?”

She beamed down at him, her heart swelling with warmth, and wondered why she had ever worried he would change.

Prompt: Just something cute and squishable. It can be romantic, it can be friendship with just a hint of squishyness, or seriously just whatever you think is adorable.

Summary: The Kazekage sees a lot of Sakura these days.

Gaara was just reaching for another stack of papers when he heard his office door click open. He was not entirely unsurprised at the intrusion, despite the late hour.

“Sakura-san,” he acknowledged, and she stepped in and took a seat across from his desk. “What brings you here?”

“I was just passing through, Kazekage-sama,” she said cheerfully. Part of Gaara rather thought that Sakura took missions to allow her to pass through his village on purpose. The other part of him thought that she just pushed herself so she could detour though Sunagakure regardless whether the mission brought her in that direction. Either way, he certainly wasn’t going to tell her to stop coming.

She pulled out a thermos and a cup. The liquid inside the thermos was clearly piping hot, and it steamed as she poured it.

“A new brew?” he asked, reaching out to take the mug from her when she offered it.

“Just a little something I whipped up,” the kunoichi replied, and Gaara fought the urge to snort. He’d made inquiries. Sakura didn’t just make tea for people willy-nilly. She took the time to research and prepare ingredients that would aid the person she was brewing for. She’d been tweaking his personal recipe for months, now.

He took a sip and felt more relaxed than he had in days almost immediately. He could feel his demon-ravaged chakra pathways even out, his frayed nerves settling, his very soul knitting itself back together. It wasn’t easy for him to function without Shukaku, but due to Sakura’s regular visits, he was slowly healing.

“Thank you, Sakura,” he said, his eyes boring into hers, his voice low and husky. And even though it was quite a normal thing to say under the circumstances, something about his tone and expression had the kunoichi blushing.

“It’s my pleasure, Gaara,” she told him seriously, hoping her words rang with as much truth and appreciation as his.

Prompt/Summary: Aang drags Zuko into a crazy adventure. Strange ATLA-verse animals are a bonus.

Zuko folded his arms across his chest and eyed the creature on the ground impassively. It had a coat of shaggy brown and black fur, oversized ears, a prehensile trunk, and a long, bushy, twitching tail.

“This,” the Fire Lord said, sweeping his hand in the direction of the animal, “is the reason you had me take leave? I thought you said it was important!” The creature sat back on its haunches and chittered cutely. Zuko scowled.

“But it is important!” Aang protested, dropping one knee to scritch behind the critter’s ridiculously large ears. “The elemonks are just coming out of hibernation, so it’s the best time to ride one! They’re really elusive, you know.” He pouted. “But this one is way too small to ride. We need to find a bigger one before they all go into hiding!” He looked up at his companion with big, pleading eyes, but Zuko was having none of it.

“No way am I having any part in this,” he said, shaking his head. “Last time you dragged me out I ended up waterlogged and starving with swamp-algae in my underpants. I’ve learned my lesson; you can find one by yourself.”

Unfortunately, as he turned to make his way back to where they’d left Appa earlier, a loud, angry trumpeting sounded from behind him, and the ground began to rumble and shake. An absolutely enormous elemonk was charging right towards them, and Zuko spared a precious moment to wonder just how something that size could possibly be elusive before his survival instincts kicked in.

“All right!” Aang cheered, apparently gearing up to hop onto the beast’s back.

“Aw crap,” Zuko groaned, grabbing Aang’s wrist and making a run for it despite the Avatar’s protests. It looked like it was going to be long, long day.

Summary: Jareth wakes up to find Sarah in his room.

Jareth woke sharply when he felt the uninvited presence enter his bedchamber. There was Sarah, a vision in white—albiet very transparent white. As she sauntered towards the bed, he could see that the skimpy top she wore was the only thing she wore.

“What…how…” the usually loquacious Goblin King was at a loss for words. Sarah smirked and hitched one knee up onto the bed.

“What nobody knew is that the Goblin King fell in love with the girl, and had given her certain powers,” she quoted, crawling on top of him seductively. ”Except I did know, and after I won, you couldn’t take them back.”

Jareth could barely breathe as Sarah drew back the covers, but she seemed quite content to monologue.

“I’ve worked so hard to be fit to rule beside you,” she said, pausing to purr with satisfaction at finding him naked. She raked her fingernails across his chest, and he hissed with pleasure. ”All those classes…law, politics, economy, etiquette…” She leaned forward and murmured low in his ear, “All for you.”

With those words she impaled herself on his throbbing manhood, and he gasped at how hot and slick and tight she was for him. ”Sarah,” he moaned. ”Oh Sarah…”

His hips thrust to meet her own movements, and her hands fisted in his wild hair as she mewled with pleasure. His hands roamed her entire body—the curve of her breast, the swell of her hips, her pert little ass. And it wasn’t long before he sent her over the edge, her entrance throbbing around his length, and he cried out her name as he hit his own blinding climax.

He awoke the next morning only to find that his sheets were soiled, and he was alone.

Prompt/Summary: Tea Break with Sesshoumaru and Doctor Who

Youkai had arrived in Japan long ago, back when Earth was just starting out. Their own planet had been utterly destroyed by war and famine and disease brought on by a hostile takeover, and those that were left managed to flee the harsh regime set before them and found a new home on the then-unknown planet Earth.

Unfortunately for the youkai, the bacteria native to Earth played havoc with the youkai genetics, mutating and warping many of them into thoughtless creatures unrecognizable from their original forms. Some, however, managed to adapt to the changes the bacteria wroght in their systems and became new powerful beings, and it was those who managed to lead and control those that had become mindless. In this way they managed to live semi-decent lives, most forgetting their origins and all forgetting their lost technology.

That is, until the native life on Earth evolved into homosapiens, who grew to fear and loathe the youkai and their strange powers. Slowly but surely, the youkai died out - some by humans, certainly, but strange mutations still claimed many, and others simply could not cope with the fast-paced changes that humanity brought to their planet.

The Doctor had thought the youkai were extinct, yet here was one sitting before him, sipping tea without a care in the world. A youkai that had once been a feudal lord. He was pretty sure he never had a feudal lord in the TARDIS before, and he never expected to, really. Feudal lords were harsh, stubborn, and unforgiving. It was mind-boggling to see one sipping tea in a business suit.

He supposed it had something to do with the cheerful and quite loquatious Japanese girl who was busily chattering away with Rose on the other side of the TARDIS. The Doctor didn’t quite know how she had managed to meet the youkai Sesshoumaru, but he could guess. The girl practically reaked of background radiation even before he had picked her up.

He wondered if she was the reason that Sesshoumaru had managed to survive and adapt while the others of his species died out - he knew he had something to live for in the future. Someone to remember and fight for and live on to find again.

He wondered if Rose would be the same for him, alone and broken though he was.

The eerie feeling of someone watching him pulled The Doctor out of his thoughts and noted that Sesshoumaru’s golden eyes were staring at him impassively. The Doctor grinned and lifted his mug.

“To sole survivors,” he said, and the youkai’s lip twitched as he lifted his own mug in response.

“To sole survivors.”

Written For: mythnlynx
Fandom: Ouran High School Host Club
Pairings: Haruhi/Hunny
Genre: Waff/darkish?
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 464

Prompt/Summary: Hunny reminds Haruhi that he IS an adult male, with adult desires, after all.

They had assured her that Tamaki’s greenhouse was now safe, and promised her that they would not allow her to be separated from the group again, and yet when she paused to admire a particularly lovely flower, they had walked on ahead and lost her.

In hindsight she really ought to have stayed put, but she thought she could hear their voices up ahead. Then she somehow ended up where all sorts of vicious, thorny, Haruhi-eating plants were kept—not dangerous my ass, she thought lividly—and now she was covered in scratches and abrasions and her dress was torn from her daring escape.

She was standing still in what she presumed was a safe path for a few minutes, hoping someone would find her and anxiously shifting from foot to foot, when suddenly a yellow blur knocked the wind out of her and sent her toppling onto her back. Haruhi grunted when she hit the ground, dust from the path blinding her for a moment. She gripped the thing that had knocked her over and tugged and struggled futilely as she coughed and her eyes watered, but it wasn’t budging.

So this is it then, Haruhi thought with a sigh, resigning herself to her apparently fate of becoming plant fertilizer. But then the dust cleared and she realized that it was Hunny who had bowled her over, Hunny whose shirt she was fisting with a white-knuckled grip, Hunny who was holding her shoulders down with massive strength…

Hunny who was gazing at her with an expression not at all suitable for a boy.

His eyes were almost primal, filled with need and want and completely transforming his normally boyish face into something much more mature, and as he leaned in towards Haruhi she only had time to think that he wasn’t a boy at all before his mouth was on hers.

The kiss was rough and she gasped at the contact, allowing his tongue to sweep against hers. But it was over quickly and he sat up again, wiping a bit of blood from the corner of his mouth where it had rubbed off from a scratch on her face.

And as suddenly as he appeared, Hunny was gone again, running down the path and sounding as much of a child as he always did. “Mori! Mori!” he shouted, and Haruhi saw that Mori was indeed on his way to the scene. “I found Haruhi! She had a boo-boo, but I kissed it all better!”

“Did you, now?” Mori said obligingly, patting Hunny on the head.

Dazed, Haruhi let Mori and a beaming Hunny pull her too her feet, and tried not to think about the warmth in the pit of her stomach that had replaced the aches and pains of her injuries.

Prompt: Sarah/Jareth fic - something seductive

Summary: Sarah chooses her words carefully.

Sarah dreamt of the Goblin King all the time, to the point where even when she was awake she could feel his breath next to her ear, his hands caressing her breasts, his length sliding in and out of her with slow, powerful strokes. The very thought of her recurring dreams brought with it a heat low in her belly that would only be relieved with her release.

Frankly, she was getting sick of it.

She stood and paced the room, rolling the crystal ball he had left in her bedroom four years ago after she ran the Labyrinth. Words were important to the fae, Sarah knew, and what was said cannot be unsaid. She wanted to be satisfied—she just didn’t want to be kidnapped as part of the process.

A slow grin spread across her face. She paused in her pacing, gripped the crystal in both hands, and said resolutely, “I wish the Goblin King would take me. Right now.”

And then he was there, pressed flush against her with one arm snaked around her waist, and she thought that this was a much better entrance than the one he made the first time she had summoned him.

“You naughty little thing,” he drawled, and she could feel his hardness through his thin leather pants. “I’m going to make you regret those words.”

I’m going to make you wish I could do this to you every night, was the unspoken promise in his dancing eyes.

She smirked seductivly at him as she thrust her hips against his. ”I’m counting on it.”

Toph

Thirty minutes or so after Katara left Zuko alone in his room feeling slightly sorry for himself, someone was knocking at the door. He pushed off the bed to see who it was, but whoever it was apparently wasn’t going to wait, and it swung open. He had a moment of confusion as he looked through the door to see absolutely nothing.

“Er, hello?” he called out.

“Down here, Firebreath.” He looked down to see Toph on her knees, holding a bowl of what appeared to be stew and looking slightly irritated.

“Well? You gonna keep staring or are ya gonna let me in?”

He coughed and stepped aside, and she crawled in and pushed the door closed with her ankle. “Dinner,” she said, holding up the bowl. He took it, slightly baffled, and watched as the earthbender made herself comfortable on the floor.

“What’s this for?” he asked, stirring the contents of the bowl and peering at it suspiciously.

“It’s for eating, idiot,” she drawled. “We didn’t know if you ate yet, so I brought you a bowl.” Sensing his hesitation, she added, “Come on. We’re the good guys. We don’t let people starve and we certainly don’t poison them.”

Zuko brought the spoon to his lips and took a bite of the stew.

“Much.”

He paused, eyed Toph’s maniac grin, and shrugged. At least if he was getting poisoned, it’d be with decent-tasting stew. He took another bite.

“I heard what Katara told you,” she said, seeming perfectly fine with monologing while the firebender ate. “She’s like a mother hencat. Mess with her kitchicks and she’ll peck your eyes out. Win her over and she’ll fight for you tooth and nail. You were telling the truth, so she’ll come around eventually.”

“How do you know?” he asked, holding out the now-empty bowl. She took it.

“That you didn’t lie?” she snorted. “You could never lie to me, Firebreath. You’re way too open and honest.” She crawled over to the door and Zuko stood to open it for her.

“Does that mean you’re not angry at me?” he asked hopefully.

She laughed. “Nice try, but your butt’s getting kicked just as soon as I can stand again.”

He closed the door behind her after she left, and dropped back down on the bed, feeling decidedly better about his situation than he did just a few minutes ago.

Sokka, Momo, Appa

Although Momo and Appa were not unfamiliar with action and adventure, mostly they much preferred to lie about and sun themselves. They had found a nice, sunny courtyard about an hour or so ago and settled in for a peaceful nap.

“Zuko! Oh, Zuko!”

The cry jolted Appa out of his snooze, and Momo went tumbling down his head to the ground with a squawk. The Fire Nation prince stumbled into the courtyard; he was panting a bit and his eyes were slightly panicked.

“Please guys, you’ve gotta hide me,” he said, eyes darting around as he looked for a place to conceal himself. Sparring with Aang had been no problem at all—actually, it was always fun to firebend with the Avatar. But then Katara wanted her turn, and his muscles were still burning from his efforts to dodge her quick attacks, and then Toph had left him feeling sore and bruised. Those girls definitely were out for his blood. He was sure of it.

When he’d first come across Sokka, the water tribe boy’s fighting had been laughable at best. But now Sokka had trained with the Kiyoshi warriors, somehow fell under the mentorship of Piandao. He also had a streak of cleverness and creativity, giving him some sort of super-luck-power that generally completely humiliated Zuko when Sokka finally managed to hit him.

Tired, aching Zuko had no intention of being Sokka-fodder today.

“I’ll just hide in here,” the firebender said, parting Appa’s fur and concealing himself within the long strands – and not a moment too soon, because his pursuer had appeared.

“Come out, come out, wherever you are!” Sokka called cheerfully, and Appa chose that moment to roll over, revealing the Fire Nation prince that had been previously huddling in his fur.

“Ah! There you are!” Sokka said, grabbing Zuko by the collar and dragging him off before he’d even realized he’d been exposed.

“Traitors!” Zuko shouted at the animals as he succumbed to his fate, hearing the larger whuff in amusement while the smaller chittered with laughter. They were fairly sure the firebender wouldn’t be disturbing their sunbathing again anytime soon.

Aang

As he stood at the edge of the putrid swamp with Aang, Zuko suddenly realized why the others had declined the boy’s invitation and encouraged him to take Zuko along for some “male bonding time”.

Clearly, he was still being punished for his past misdeeds.

“Here we are!” the Avatar said cheerfully, ignoring Zuko’s glare.

“And why,” asked the Fire Nation prince, trying not to raise his voice, “Are we here?”

“To catch and ride a platygator, of course!” Aang replied excitedly. “They can only be found in the Fire Nation’s only swamp, so I haven’t gotten a chance to see one until now. I was surprised when Katara let us go. Last time I asked, she said it was too dangerous to go animal-riding in enemy territory.”

Zuko rather thought the waterbender let them go so Zuko would have a miserable time sloshing around in a huge smelly swamp, and said so.

“Nonsense, my good hotman!” Aang said, slapping him on the back. “It’ll be awesome! I heard that if you can stay on a platygator long enough, you’ll get to see a precious treasure. Don’t you want to find out what it is?”

Zuko did not, but Aang had already grabbed him and was dragging him into the murky swamp.

Platygators, as it turns out, were fairly strong creatures. They were covered in thick scales that poked at you when you touched them, had a big flat tail that was, apparently, the better to slap you with, and a duckbill filled with rows of sharp, pointy teeth. By the time the boys had found one, wrestled it, and managed to climb onto its back, Zuko was tired, sore, soggy, and covered in mud. He was pretty sure he would have to burn his clothes when they got back to camp.

And then the wild ride had begun. Zuko clung to the thing with a white-knuckled grip and clenched his teeth while the airbender behind him whooped and hollered happily. It seemed to take hours for the platygator to calm down and glide smoothly through its homeland, and when it did Zuko let out his breath in a whoosh and flexed his sore fingers.

Soon, the platygator stopped in front of a large nest of sticks, mud, and swampgrass, and waited patiently for its passengers to climb off and wade over to it to peer inside. “Well,” said Aang upon seeing the platygator hatchlings sleeping in their nest, “I guess the platygator sees them as a precious treasure, right?”

Zuko resisted the urge to slap his own face—his hands were muddy, after all—and sighed heavily. All this trouble to see some (admittedly adorable) evil-beastie-babies?

“I hope you realize I’m never letting you drag me out like this again,” he grumped.

“Yeah, that’s what everyone says,” Aang said with a smile, and the pair watched the hatchlings for a little longer before boarding the mother platygator and hitching a ride back to solid ground.

Katara

Zuko was used to people’s reactions where his scar was concerned. Most of them would pretend they hadn’t seen it and studiously kept their eyes trained away from his face as if he wouldn’t notice. Others openly gaped at him until they realized they were being rude, whether it be on their own or someone snapping them back to reality with a hiss. Some furtively glanced in his direction over and over.

And then there were the annoying ones. For instance, the vegetable vendor whose wares he was currently examining.

“Nice piece of work you got there,” the vendor said, eying Zuko’s marred face.

“Mm,” Zuko replied noncommittally, hoping the merchant would take the hint and realize he didn’t want to talk about it. He placed the tomato he was holding back into the cart and picked up another.

“How’d you get it? House burn down? Run into an angry firebender?” the vendor prodded, and was unfazed when he didn’t get a response.

“I heard the traitor-prince had a burn like that as a punishment from the Fire Lord,” he continued, oblivious to the way Zuko was now gripping the tomato he held. “Bastard probably deserved it, too. Betrayed our country and ran off with the Avatar—”

“What are you doing?” a voice interrupted, and Zuko spun around to find Katara standing just behind him. After Zuko had gone with her to get revenge for her mother, Katara enlisted his help for the grocery shopping. She claimed that he would take the job more seriously than the others.

The irritated waterbender pried the now-bruised tomato from Zuko’s hand and slipped it back into the cart before glaring at the merchant, who flinched under her gaze. “Do you harass all your customers this way?” she scolded, her eyes glittering angrily. “Can’t you see he doesn’t want to talk about it?”

She turned to her princely companion. “Come on. Let’s go somewhere else for our vegetables.” She grabbed Zuko’s sleeve and dragged him away from the vegetable cart and its merchant, who was left gaping open-mouthed, wondering why he had been yelled at for trying to initiate friendly conversation.

Zuko wondered for a moment if he should be feeling emasculated or grateful that he had been saved, but then he remembered a conversation he had with the earthbender when he first joined the Avatar’s group. Was this what she meant about Katara protecting her kitchicks? A slow smile spread across his face.

“Yes, mother,” he drawled, and she stopped in her tracks and faced him with a huff.

“Not you, too! I get enough of that from Toph!” she cried, throwing her hands up with exasperation. Zuko was unsuccessful in holding back his chuckle, and her glare was now directed at him.

“Since it was your fault we couldn’t buy any vegetables,” she said, poking him in the chest to emphasize her point, “you get to go foraging in the forest today to find some.”

He watched her stomp off for a moment before shrugging and following after her, the same smirk still playing across his face. For some reason, he couldn’t bring himself to be angry that he’d been punished when she was the one who chewed out the vendor.

As humans they were always alone, but as symbiotes of the vajra they were intimately connected through song. Each knew the other’s heart and mind. Happiness and sorrow alike were shared between them whenever they sang—and they both sang quite a lot, for singing had always been a part of them.

It didn’t take long for them to realize that if one was suffering, the other would suffer right along with her, and neither girl could bear to be the cause of the other’s suffering.

With that, the decision was easily made. To the boy who could not make a choice, they gave a ultimatum:

Both, or neither.

Pairing: Akito/Shigure
Rating: PG
Summary: What drives Shigure to write? What is his inspiration?
A/N: Written for Irony-chan.

Shigure had been writing since he was a small boy. In fact, he was writing even before he knew how to write. His parents would humor him and pretend they could read his lines and scribbles, but he would always snatch his papers away from them and say, “No, no, the story goes like this!” He would write fanciful tales of children that could turn into animals and go on adventures and save the world, because he wasn’t allowed to do any of those things. The tales continued as he grew older and became readable by all once he entered school and learned to write properly—a task which he set to diligently. He still wrote his heroic fables, of course, but he’d also written a few about how it might feel like to be hugged by one’s mother, because he wasn’t sure if he’d ever had such a hug. He kept those stories tucked away under his bed, beneath a loose floorboard.

At the age of seven, after Shigure wept when Akito was born, and he began to write for her and her alone. She didn’t understand his words for many years, but he would write them and read them to her anyway. Eventually she grew old enough to make requests, and he found himself writing about princesses locked in towers and princes to rescue them, and about girls being protected from evil monsters, and even about fairies and magic and other girly things like that, just to see her smile.

Sometimes, Akito asked him to write about what it was like to be hugged by one’s mother, because she’d never had such a hug. He wasn’t sure where those were hidden, but they were always gone when he returned to see her the next day.

After Shigure and Akito betrayed each other and he left his family home to live on his own, he was much older and more knowledgeable about the ways of the world. His writing drifted into romance, and he spun tales about handsome men wooing beautiful girls. He managed to find a publisher, and his novels were so descriptive and heartwarming and made people feel so easily that they seemed to disappear from the shelves. He wondered if Akito was reading them, too. After all, he was writing them for her, hoping that she would read them and see the words in his heart that he couldn’t bring himself to say to her.

It wasn’t until after the curse was broken that Shigure and Akito came together again. It was difficult, because Akito was still broken and unstable from her harsh upbringing, but Shigure stood by her and guided her and eventually their rocky relationship smoothed out into one that only had a few bumps and hills along the way.

One night, Akito shyly led a confused Shigure into her living room. She pushed a chair away from the wall and opened a hidden panel where she kept all his boyhood writings and copies of all the books he had published since he moved out. His heart aching with emotion, he gathered her up in his arms and they both wept silently before they made love on the floor.

Some people wonder why Shigure doesn’t write anymore, and he gets letters every day from his fans. He dutifully replies to them all, giving them one excuse or another, but never the truth. He has no intentions of ever publishing another book because he has ever only written for one person’s happiness, and now that person lays beside him at night, curled into his chest as he reads his stories to her, just as he had always done before.
